Someone has to supervise

Every good project has to have a project manager to make sure everything runs smoothly. Every now and again a thermal goes through to make things interesting. But nothing phases Marta and Jesse, who is in overall charge of the project.

Now the walls are going up

After much consultation the walls of the new hangar are going up. Even as I sit here more and more sheets of colour bond are being added.

New hangar goes up

Work continues on putting another hangar out at the aerodrome. It was many hands (and two cranes) make light work. The owners who shall remain nameless are very pleased with the work so far. Over about 8 days the roof has been assembled and today the big lift took place and now it's all free standing.

Werner Grossenbacher has passed away

Friends of Werner Grossenbacher,

I was contacted by Max Hedt with the sad news that our fellow club member, Werner Grossenbacher, passed away last night.

Max understands that Werner's funeral will be at the Horsham Uniting Church at 2 pm, Tuesday 17th January.

Max had written about the life of Werner for his 88th birthday, and it was reprinted in the club blog on the occasion of his 90th birthday, 18th December 2008.

This can be read in the second entry down of the archive at: http://horshamflyingclub.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Werner was highly regarded by those of us that knew him and he will be sadly missed.
