Air Conditioning for Bunk House to go ahead

The club committee at its August general meeting has agreed to go ahead with the project to provide air conditioning for the club bunkhouse. Seperate single system air conditioners will be installed in each of the three rooms of the bunkhouse. This will be a great enhancement to the bunkhouse and will be welcomed by those members and guests using our facilities over the summer. We are in the process of obtaining quotes for supply, and after a purchase is made the units will be installed.

Horsham Flying Club Annual General Meeting

After a delay because of the reinstated lockdown for regional Victoria, the Horsham Flying Club held their Annual General Meeting via Zoom on Saturday 28 August.

After the formalities were completed the following members have stepped forward to lead the club through 2021/2022.

More memories of Laurie Bunnik

A reminder from a number of years ago that Laurie Bunnik, who passed away last week had many interests. This is a short item from the club's newsletter in April 2006.

Laurie's Daimler Wins Major Award

Laurie Bunnik passed through Horsham on Good Friday on the way to the Biannual National Daimler Rally in Bendigo. Laurie has been working on his Daimler for many years now and came up trumps at the Rally winning two awards. Laurie and his pride and joy picked up the 'Presidents Trophy' and the 'New Zealand trophy' for the best presented Daimler. On Easter Monday Laurie again passed through Horsham on the way home to Casterton. He filled up on fuel and took PW and myself for a drive around the taxiway to the fuel bowsers to refuel.

Laurie Bunnik has passed away

Former President and Life Member of our club, Laurie Bunnik, died on Tuesday 11th May 2021, aged 84.

The funeral will be held 11am Wednesday 19th May at the Casterton Sandford Football Clubrooms, Island Park, Casterton.

Horsham Week winners announced

55th Horsham Week Competition

Another successful Horsham Week was held at Horsham Aerodrome from Saturday 6 February to Friday 12 February. The competition finished one day early as a statewide lockdown came into place at midnight of that Friday due to COVID-19 regulations.

Horsham Week 2021 takes to the air

 Saturday 6 February and the 55th Horsham Week competition is set to go. The week ahead is looking good and the competition will go ahead subject to the regulations set out by the State Government to deal with COVID-19.
